Cases AS is an independent editorial website about food and wine. This policy explains how we distinguish between editorial content and paid or sponsored content, and how we handle advertising and partnerships.
Editorial independence
All editorial coverage – reportages, portraits, and reviews – is produced independently of the wishes or interests of advertisers or commercial partners. Advertising relationships do not influence editorial content.
Labelling of advertisements and paid content
Content that is paid for, sponsored, or produced in collaboration with a third party will always be clearly labelled as "Advertisement", "Sponsored content", or "In partnership with [partner]", in compliance with the Norwegian Marketing Control Act § 3 and the Consumer Authority's guidelines.
Free samples and press material
Products received free of charge for review purposes will be disclosed in the text (e.g. "Wine received as a press sample"). Receipt of products does not imply any obligation to provide positive coverage.
Conflicts of interest and ownership
Cases AS conducts investment activities and may hold ownership interests in companies we cover. Where this is the case, the affiliation will always be disclosed in the article. Such coverage is never paid for by the party concerned.
Corrections and clarifications
Factual errors are corrected promptly and clearly noted in the article. Please contact hei@cases.no if you believe something is incorrect.
