Marisa Bacher is among a new generation of small producers carving out their place in the heart of Barolo country.
After years working alongside Mario Fontana at Cascina Fontana, she took on a one-hectare hillside plot in Monforte d’Alba called Monta, home to gnarly 60-year-old vines of Dolcetto and Barbera.
