A brand-new producer from Chablis is a rare thing.
Pierre Ségault is among the most promising talents to emerge from the small, chalky village north of Burgundy in many years. He made his first wine in 2024, from a 0.76-hectare parcel called Le Milieu des Chaumes in Maligny. 2024 is a cool, low-yield vintage, which was surely not the easiest one for young Ségault to start with. But the result is a delicate and fresh, stony, concentrated Chablis.
